Burlesque: The Martini Lounge
Ladies, corsets, feathers. You know the score.
Listings
If you like your ladies in whalebone, satin, and not much else, the frou-frou glamour of U.S. exports Kitten De Ville and Dirty Martini and home-grown performers including Millie Dollar might be up your burlesque street.
Liverpool's utterly beautiful St George's Hall will play host to The Martini Lounge's bevy of variously attired fabulousness on Sunday 31st October. They promise 'a classy and delightfully ludicrous night of entertainment', so probably a significant improvement on your average Sunday evening flump on the sofa.
Oh, and Des O'Connor's going to be there. No, not that one. This one's got face paints, a ukulele, and no day-glo tan as far as we can tell.
You can arrive early to enjoy a two-course dinner to suit the sumptuous surroundings, or if you don't think your constitution's up to dinner and lovely ladies you can just come along for the evening show. Tickets are available here.
