The Nectar Bar

Brand spanking new and brassy to boot –Nectar is more than just a bar. With a decent restaurant, café bar, late licence and DJs: it's trying to be all things to all men... and managing, nearly. Since I always have to have something to whinge about, I'd say it's just that little bit too bright for my taste –both décor and lighting. The sofas are comfy, the surroundings stylish, the crowd are well turned out and all about a decade over the legal age for drinking. But once the weekend is just a colourful but hazy memory, Nectar quietens down to become the latest addition in a line of bars competing for the custom of the 12 people that can be arsed going into the town–centre mid–week.
