Pod

On the seemingly hair–dresser obsessed Allerton Road, sits Pod –an oasis of calm for the over crimped. Open brickwork, low lighting and red and cream interior combine with hidden corners to provide a very laid–back venue for some daytime munching. Everything about this place is a little bit different and cool –no S Club 7, it's Northern Soul, South American Jazz and Blues and a tapas menu with a twist. I hate to be gushy, as it's so unlike me, but I have had to be forcibly dragged from a very pleasant afternoon's drinking here on more than one occasion. Pod attracts a chilled out crowd, who pack the place to capacity at the weekend.
