The Brewery (now called Metropolitan, needs new review)

Used to be the Black Horse and Rainbow, and I still can't get used to the new name. When your mates agree to meet you here and invariably have to ask you where the hell it is, describe it as the one with the big shiny copper vat thingys in the window, and you're laughing. The brew that comes out of these vats is pretty damn good too. On the café bar side of pub, the décor in here is minimalist, and during the day it can feel a bit sparse, but is good for watching the match. The Brewery livens up at the weekend, not least because of Lemon Lounge, the small club situated above it – see clubs section –.
