The Liffey
It would be easy to pass this off as just a theme pub, but as an authentic Irish drinking den The Liffey deserves a bit more credit. During the day the hardened bar–flies mix with middle–aged women nursing their shopping and half a lager. The two groups make eyes at each other, a coy giggle from one of the ladies, this horseplay continues harmlessly all day. Later that night, the men remain long after their sweethearts have caught the bus–home, and there's some serious consumption of the blackstuff. A friendly place, but more attractive to those with kids my age than me.
