The Old Post Office

Stuck in a nostalgic envelope of time, the New Millennium has not stamped its mark on this pub. Food is served during the day and will be delivered to your table by hand. That's the bad puns out the way. The Old Post Office is a pub that exists for its locals, that's not to say strangers aren't welcome but it's probably more enjoyable for the likes of you and me during the day rather than at night, it's not huge –so you'd only be in the way when they get down to their serious drinking. It's a quiet place to escape to on an afternoon if you can't be bothered with any more shopping.

Thought the food was OK great value( frozen chips not great real ones would be a winner!) but otherwise good value for money. The barmaid/manageresswas so disagreeablethink she has a attitude problem think she is only pleasant to the locals as not very welcoming to me and my well behaved friends visiting from London who were there for the grand nationaland ate there Friday. Friends recommended the place for the food not the ambience
