The Picket Venue
About ten years back The Picket was the only venue for unsigned local bands to play, bringing to the public's attention acts like The La's. More recently it's suffered a decline in popularity despite having been refurbished. It's above a pub but has it's own bar which is, quite bizarrely, no–smoking. Rock'n'roll.
