19 Mar 2011Contrived and simply not funny. (Laughter house - down stairs @ The Slug and Lettuce) I made the mistake of going here with friends for my Birthday. For a start the place smells like open drains. Secondly the staff are strategically placed around the room and put on quite the show of loud forced out laughter at what can only be described as really average jokes at best. Third there was a guy out on a stag do who was thrown out for heckling…….not continued heckling I think it was about the third time he shouted out and the first time he was actually encouraged by the comedian. So in short if you want sit in a room that stinks and pay over the odds for drinks watching acts that aren’t much better and then be instructed when to laugh and how loud to laugh safe in the knowledge that if you don’t follow the house rules you will be chucked out then this is the place for you.
