Liverpool Academy (now Liverpool Guild)
Four venues for the price of, well, four. The Liverpool Academies are all housed within the University Guild building, just opposite the Metropolitan CAthedral on top of Brownlow Hill. It's worth stating this because, a – there's another Academy – sponsored by a certain beer company – near Lime Street and b –there's another university, sponsored by a certain Pools founder, just down the road. These particular four university academies range from the large Academy 1, which can hold over 2,000 people and put on largish tour bands such as the Darkness – or not, if Justin's got a sour throat –, to the teeny Academy 3, which only holds 200.
