Café Tabac
Near-legendary city centre caff, with near-legendary prices. It looks fantastic; nicely retro with leather couches and pouffs, tastefully pale pink walls and paintings from what looks suspiciously like the same guy who did the Zutons' last album cover. There's also a great window, seemingly designed for people watching. Stay there long enough - and we know people who do - and someone you know will eventually pass by. As well as a lot of people you don't know (obviously).
