Christakis Greek Taverna
We visited Christakis, and after a warm greeting from the Greek owner (complete with convincing accent) we were seated. After our order was promptly taken and drinks brought, we informed the aforementioned owner of our intention to step out for a cigarette. Thinking he was jesting when he asked for payment up front, we stepped out for a cigarette and we were pretty miffed to see the owner join us, standing so close we could have smelled the ouzo on him had he consumed any. Now, we're all pretty honest and don't know the rules of extortion and theft, but surely if we were going to leg it then AFTER we'd eaten would have been the time, and not after a mouthful of the first beer and before the meals. So even before the food had even arrived, we had an opinion. That said, the food itself was absolutely top notch and we would heartily recommend it to any non-smokers. The menu caters for all tastes, and the staff were attentive. More so if you smoke.
