El Macho
An ancient Mexican restaurant that's been around longer than Alex Ferguson's been in charge of United (talking of which, there's also one in Manchester). It may not be the cheapest place around, but the size of the portions more than make up for it. The reason for its longevity is fairly obvious when one tastes the spicy, filling fare on offer: you get a feel of the exotic whilst keeping your feet firmly on the ground with the familiar nachos, guacamole and fajitas. Just remember to wear the elasticated-waist trousers.
