Golden Phoenix

With all the upheavals currently hitting Hanover Street like the Luftwaffe, the Golden Phoenix Chinese restaurant is still hanging in there. It never had the best location anyway, placed classily right next to a car park, but for those who brave the scary stairwell, you'll find one of the biggest and best-established restaurants in the city, having been around for forty years now. The food is decent, wholesome Chinese fare.
