The Lime Kiln (Lloyd's Bar)

The sound of aircraft taking off on Fleet Street can be attributed to the air conditioning in this place, which must surely take the prize of being the biggest pub in Liverpool. It's part of the all-conquering Wetherspoons chain so it can be a wee bit characterless, but that doesn't stop people trying to fill the place at all hours. Despite its size, it's usually crammed at weekends, but there is a rather nice covered outside area where you can watch the full horror of Concert Square.
