The Flute
This well-established theme pub on Hardman Street is best known for the electric and frequently stifling atmosphere when it screens the football, so a lot of people might be surprised that it's also open when there isn't a match on. Minus the throng are revealed pew-like wooden benches, hideously hectoring promotional materials on the wall and, naturally, six (count 'em) screens which can be watched all at once if you sit in the right position. There's generic but cheap pub grub and you won't see many (v) signs on the menu.
