Heritage Street Market
The 'Camden of Liverpool', as it is billed, is a rather strange way to describe this regular market, especially as most Scousers are far more aware of this long-standing institution than a collection of overpriced drugtaking apparatus and fetish clothing a million miles away in That London. Based in the sprawling Victorian Tobacco warehouse (the largest building of its kind in Europe, apparently), this market offers anything up to 500 independent stalls selling jewellery, crafts, antiques, and hippywear, most of whom won't serve you if you're wearing anything even vaguely reminiscent of real fur.
