The Playhouse
Whereas not so very long ago it was closed and facing the bulldozers, the venerable Playhouse theatre is now very much thriving, thanks to a partnership with the Everyman. And like the Everyman, you'll consistently find first-rate new and local talents on display, mixed in with some classic revivals. It's based in the atmospheric Victorian Star Music Hall building and graced by very friendly staff - some of whom have even been known to re-enact the missed start of a play when we come charging into the theatre 20 minutes late.
