The Royal Court Theatre

While this fine art deco theatre once put on legendary gigs by the likes of Echo and the Bunnymen and the Beastie Boys, the music has now been discarded in favour of Liverpool's current comedy emperor, Rawhide. This means that comedy here's never been in better shape (or indeed, never attended by more hen nights). Rawhide has had many homes in its 10-year existence, but has finally reached its pinnacle, and their usual fare of stand-up club nights now also includes touring shows and plays.
