World Museum Liverpool

The phenomenon of dumbing down is all around, and so it should be no surprise that, when the former Liverpool Museum acquired the spurious word 'World' and bumped 'Liverpool' to the end, it dropped its IQ levels a tad. Well maybe not IQ levels, but definitely age. Where once the Museum was proud to exhibit a bizarre and sometimes anachronistic display of exotic animal and insect Victoriana, it's all kid-friendly interactive stuff now. But the spirit of the old Museum - and some of its redolent exhibits - are still there, so it's well worth a peep. Just watch out for squealing infants.
