In an otherwise barren stretch of NW6, this well-established bar-restaurant acts like a magnet to the glass-clinking classes of West Hampstead. Which is the entire population, meaning that in the summer, hordes of happy drinkers line the quiet street outside with their pints of Erdinger or Leffe. The food is above-average bar fare with corresponding above-average prices, but the staff are friendly and judging by the queues for tables on weekend evenings, it's the knee-jerk choice for second-dates and birthday meals.
