Master Chef
While it may not have Lloyd Grossman and strangely intense competitors – prepared to marinate their own grandmothers – this is an above average Indian tandoori joint with good service, moderately cheap meals and seriously scrummy food. Not much atmosphere though, and very exposed to passers-by on Renshaw Street, which (given the amount of dodgy boozers nearby) is not very desirable. Not licensed, but you can bring your own wine and there's no corkage. Bargain Booze is just around the corner, folks...
