The Brookhouse
The Brookhouse may have highbrow pretensions (classical art on toilet doors) but you'll soon realise it's all an illusion. For Itchy, this realisation came when we sat on a classy looking sofa, fell straight through and spilled our pint (£1 on Tuesdays) everywhere. Smooth. The truth is, this place is all about the students. Hardly surprising, given its location in the heart of Studentville - Smithdown Road. Although their hazardous furnishings definitely require replacing, the Brookhouse boasts cheap food of the burger and chips variety, cheap booze, pool tables, quiz nights and eternal footy screenings.
