Mocha Lounge
Liverpool's answer to Central Perk, the Mocha Lounge is the living room of hippies, weirdos, suits and coffee aficionados alike. It's low-key enough to draw in daytime droves of poets and musicians in search of the perfect cup of joe, and polished enough for brisk business espressos. With its unassuming entrance, you might pass by without noticing the subterranean world buzzing under the staircase. Can't stop to strum your guitar over lattes? No, sadly few of us can, but the takeaway cups are made of renewable resources – corn, water, and paper – and eventually dissolve, so sip em and chuck em on your way to work, with none of the guilt associated with the ubiquitous Frappuccino.
